Josip is MARK’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer. He joined the business in 2020 from Blackstone’s largest European operating platform, Multi Corporation, where he was CEO.
Josip has overall responsibility and oversight of all European investment activities, taking an active role in determining the firm’s investment strategy. He works closely with CEO and founder Marcus Meijer to expand the firm’s European footprint, focusing on urban conversion opportunities and supporting the firm's move into new and emerging sectors. Portfolio acquisition, from acquisition to hold period, and asset disposal, are led by Josip.
Across his 20 years of real estate investment experience, Josip has worked with some of the world’s leading institutional investors. His expertise spans multiple markets and asset classes, with a track record covering large-scale acquisitions, asset management, property management and growing listed firms.
It has included Blackstone’s Multi-Corporation, where he managed over €10bn of assets as CEO, and at European REIT Atrium Real Estate, responsible for the management of €3.5bn of assets, also as CEO. Prior to this, he was CIO at ECE, a leading developer and operator in the European office, retail and logistics sectors.
