MARK Capital Management (‘MARK’), an independent pan-European real estate investment and asset manager, has appointed a new Head of Asset Management for its urban logistics strategy, Crossbay.

Claire Haddon has joined Crossbay from Oxenwood Real Estate, a pan-European vertically integrated logistics specialist. There, she was responsible for overseeing a diverse pan-European portfolio totalling approximately 181,000 sq m as Head of Asset Management.

Before Oxenwood, Haddon was a Director at Ciel Capital, a boutique asset and investment manager specialising in Hotels. Prior to Ciel Capital, she spent more than six years at M7 Real Estate, where she completed over €1 billion of predominantly industrial real estate transactions across major European markets as an  Acquisitions and Investment Manager.

Haddon started her career as a Valuation Surveyor at global real estate advisory firm Colliers, which included a secondment to the HSBC Real Estate team. Her combined experience spans acquisitions, asset and investment management, and debt structuring.

Today’s announcement follows the recent appointment of Rodney Hunt as a UK Vice President at Crossbay, and Nnes Ajukwu as a Senior Associate in the Client Solutions team at MARK Capital Management.

Crossbay currently manages an 857,000 sq m pan-European portfolio comprising predominantly single-user urban distribution centres, all within major gateway cities. Since 2018, MARK’s Crossbay strategy has deployed in excess of €2bn and managed 1.5 million square metres of European urban logistics assets on behalf of a global investor base.

Marco Riva, Crossbay CEO, said: “Crossbay’s disciplined focus on urban distribution centres, a naturally fragmented and granular asset class, requires a best-in-class asset management function to successfully oversee a scaling portfolio. Hiring the right talent, while continuing to leverage our proprietary insights and data, is key to that mission. We look forward to working closely with Claire as we continue to grow our presence across core European markets.”

Claire Haddon, Head of Asset Management at Crossbay, said: “Crossbay has assembled a high-performing team and an excellent track record. I look forward to building on the strategy’s success to date, working closely in partnership with our network of in-country specialists that cover the entire asset lifecycle and strive to deliver value for our occupiers and investors each day.”
